Responsible for providing quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards, and ensuring completeness of submission. Obtains necessary information (loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and all applicable US state and federal laws and regulations. The target pay range for this position is $58,000 to $70,000.

What You’ll Do

1. Receive and review loan submissions, monitor incoming documents, and verify data collected by Brokers.
2. Obtain necessary information to process and complete mortgage loan files.
3. Organize and input loan information into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
4. Maintain open files, order appraisals, send verifications, and acquire documentation related to Borrower and property.
5. Ensure the quality and compliance of work with company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
6. Ensure all loans are processed to meet company and investor guidelines.
7. Communicate with external parties such as Escrow Officers, Title Officers, Realtors, and Appraisal Management Companies to resolve issues.
8. Communicate with internal staff including Sales Management, Underwriting, and Funding departments to resolve issues.
9. Inform relevant parties about discrepancies and the status of the loan.
10. Review and evaluate credit information on mortgage documents.
11. Pull or verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
12. Submit completed files to Underwriting for approval.
13. Obtain necessary stipulations to clear prior to docs and funding.
14. Ensure compliance deadlines are met for disclosures and notices.
15. Process 4506T, lock confirmations, and Change of Circumstance requests.
16. Monitor pipeline to ensure timely funding.
17. Assist Post Closing Department as needed with loan purchase processes.

What You'll Need

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of loan processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass/Empower preferred.
• Experience with Automated Underwriting Engines preferred.
