Responsibilities:

1. Provide quality loan processing, review files for adherence to underwriting standards, and ensure submission completeness.
2. Obtain necessary information such as loan applications, credit documents, and appraisals to process mortgage loans.
3. Perform duties in accordance with company policies, US laws, and regulations.
4. Maintain open files, order appraisals, send verifications, and acquire documentation related to borrowers and properties.
5. Ensure work quality and compliance with policies and investor guidelines.
6. Communicate with external parties like escrow officers, realtors, and appraisal companies, and internal teams to resolve issues.
7. Review and evaluate credit information to determine loan acceptability.
8. Pull or verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
9. Submit completed files for underwriting approval.
10. Obtain stipulations to clear prior to docs and funding.
11. Meet deadlines for disclosures, approval letters, and denials.
12. Process 4506T, lock confirmations, and Change of Circumstance requests.
13. Monitor pipeline to ensure timely funding.
14. Assist with post-closing activities for secondary market purchases.

Qualifications:

• Maintain confidentiality of borrower information.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage processing and underwriting guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to handle detailed tasks and prioritize workload.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of loan processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass/Empower and automated underwriting engines preferred.
