Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive SQL database administration experience.
• Experience managing database environments in a healthcare setting.
• Strong SQL optimisation, disaster recovery, data architecture, capacity forecasting, and access management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator – SQL certification, or equivalent MCSA/Azure Database Administrator credentials.
• Clear written and verbal communication for working with technical, clinical, and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database structures, schemas, and system logic aligned to organisational and clinical processes.
• Continuously monitor and tune performance through query refinement, index management, and configuration adjustments.
• Enforce security protocols including role‑based access controls and encryption to keep sensitive data audit‑ready.
• Develop, document, and test backup procedures and disaster recovery plans aimed at zero data loss.
• Maintain and troubleshoot complex SQL code, diagnosing root causes in dynamic operational environments.
• Forecast data growth and plan storage, capacity, and infrastructure expansion.
• Collaborate with business process experts, IT teams, and vendor partners to translate operational needs into database solutions.
