Role: SQL Database Engineer

Location: REMOTE

Type: Long Term Contract

Apex Systems, a Global Leader in IT Solutions, is searching for a SQL Database Engineer with expertise in SQL and Relational databases, SQL development. This role involves database development, performance tuning, database design, analysis, and data architecture. The candidate should have experience querying raw data, interpreting it, and collaborating with a data testing team for project objectives. Experience in highly regulated environments with PII data is preferred.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancements of existing systems.
2. Proficient in MS SQL database development.
3. Experience with data modeling, data analysis, and some architecture functions.
4. Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications by collaborating with other teams.
5. Optimize database performance and query efficiency by tuning queries, implementing standards, and adjusting indexes/resources.
6. Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries with best practices.
7. Experience with Agile development.
