Job description

Apex Systems, a Global Leader in IT Solutions, is searching for a SQL Database Engineer with specialty in SQL and Relational databases, SQL development. This role will involve everything from database development, to performance tuning, to database design and analysis, and data architecture. The role will require experience in querying raw data, being able to interpret the data, and partnering with a data testing team for project objectives. Previous experience in highly regulated environments with PII data is preferred.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems.
2. Proficient in MS SQL database development.
3. Experience with data modeling, data analysis, and some architecture functions.
4. Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications.
5. Optimize database performance and query efficiency by tuning queries, implementing standards, and adjusting indexes/resources.
6. Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries, guiding them with best practices.
7. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
