Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Splunk Administrator / Technology Engineer to support enterprise monitoring, observability, and operational excellence initiatives. The role covers onboarding customers, integrating data sources, troubleshooting, and maintaining the health of the Splunk environment.

You will design and implement technology solutions across infrastructure, data, and cloud, with strong Python scripting and automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on Splunk Administration experience.
• Experience onboarding customers and data sources into Splunk.
• Troubleshooting Splunk infrastructure and ingestion pipelines.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with monitoring and enterprise log management.
• Knowledge of systems, storage, networking, middleware, and cloud environments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Splunk platform for HA and performance.
• Onboard customers and integrate data sources into Splunk.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, indexing, dashboards, alerts.
• Configure indexes, forwarders, search heads, inputs, access.
• Develop Python-based automation for admin tasks.
• Support observability across infra, apps, cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in OpenTelemetry rollout initiatives.
• Support incident management and capacity planning.
• Evaluate emerging observability technologies.
