Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Splunk Administrator/Technology Engineer to support enterprise monitoring, observability, and operational excellence across US-based environments. The role emphasizes onboarding customers, data source integration, and automation using Python to drive reliability and performance.

The candidate will contribute to OpenTelemetry implementation, maintain Splunk health, and ensure SLAs while aligning with architectural standards and cloud approaches.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Splunk Administration experience.
• Experience onboarding customers and integrating enterprise data sources into Splunk.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with monitoring and enterprise log management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Splunk platform for high availability and performance.
• Onboard new customers and integrate data sources into Splunk.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, indexing, search, dashboards, alerts, and infrastructure issues.
• Develop Python-based automation for platform administration and reporting.
• Support observability initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with architectural standards.
