Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to interpret and enter prescription data in our pharmacy system, answer calls from patients, physicians and pharmacists, and ensure high customer service in a fast-paced setting.

This role requires 7 AM–7 PM CST, Monday–Friday with potential overtime. Residents in Michigan, Arizona, Florida or Texas may telecommute according to policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of employment without restrictions.
• 1+ years of pharmacy prescription processing experience.
• 1+ years of experience with computer navigation and MS Office (Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/SharePoint).
• Ability to work 7 AM–7 PM Monday–Friday; overtime as needed.
• Residency in Michigan, Florida, Arizona or Texas.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information for accuracy.
• Enter prescription data into the pharmacy system.
• Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues.
• Handle multiple tasks and projects as assigned.
• Maintain proficiency and quality as directed by the department.
