Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to interpret and enter prescription data, handle calls from patients, physicians and pharmacists, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician license in state of employment.
• 1+ years of prescription processing experience.
• 1+ years of computer navigation and MS Office (Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/SharePoint).
• Availability 7 AM–7 PM, Monday–Friday; overtime may be required.
• Residence in MI, AZ, FL, or TX.

Responsibilities

• Verify appropriate and accurate patient information.
• Enter prescription data into pharmacy system.
• Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues.
• Other assignments and projects as needed.
• Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department.
