Job summary

Profee Specialty Coder with Nephrology & Urology experience is needed to work remotely from Tyler, TX for CHRISTUS Health. The role pays $36/hr with hours 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri. Candidate must reside in Texas and be available full-time to work at the facility in Tyler as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain current and high-quality ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and CPT coding for inpatient and/or outpatient cases.
• Abstract data into CHRISTUS Health EMR systems with accurate patient and physician data.
• Collaborate with HIM and Clinical Documentation Specialists to ensure accurate documentation and billing.

Profee Specialty Coder w/ Nephrology & Urology Exp. Remote – Must reside in Texas

$36/hr 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri

Job duties and experience:

Profee Specialty Coder w/ Nephrology & Urology Experience Candidate must have a laptop and two monitors available to work from. Must have at least 3-5 years relevant experience- Must be available full time to work at the facility in Tyler, TX as needed. Ideal candidate will focus coding skills and expertise on designated Inpatient or Outpatient high dollar or specialty account types. Specialty Coder is responsible for maintaining current and high-quality ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and/or CPT coding for the Inpatient and or/ Outpatient diagnoses and procedural occurrences, through the review of clinical documentation and diagnostic results, with a consistent coding accuracy rate of 95% or better. Specialty Coder will accurately abstract data into any and all appropriate CHRISTUS Health electronic medical record systems, verifying accurate patient dispositions and physician data, following the Official ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and AMA CPT Guidelines. Coder will work collaboratively with various CHRISTUS Health departments, including but not limited to the HIM and Clinical Documentation Specialists, to ensure accurate and complete physician documentation to support accurate billing and reduce denials. Coder will also assist in other areas of the department, as requested by leadership. Candidate must reside in Texas to be considered

Requirements:

• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Required Education Level: High school Diploma- verification required
• 2 years working coding cert required- No apprentice Statuses
• 3-5 years relevant experience after coding cert is obtained required
