Job summary

Arkansas Connections Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver virtual instruction for students with special needs from the Bentonville area or a remote home office in Arkansas. You will manage IEP processes, collaborate with learners and coaches, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will work with a team to provide standardized instruction, data-driven progress, and timely communication with families while maintaining flexibility to support families’

Qualifications

• Must reside within Arkansas or live 300 miles from Bentonville, AR.
• Degree in Special Education or related Education Field.
• Experience in IDEA policy and/or administration with Special Education.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to travel for events (marketing, state testing).
• Ability to work remotely and with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Virtually manage instructional programs for students with special needs.
• Develop, write and implement IEPs and 504 plans.
• Evaluate tests, complete report cards, and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches to meet IEP goals.
• Coordinate with teachers to implement specially designed instruction.
• Provide direct services via web-conferencing as needed.
• Schedule IEP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Support Student Support Team with program modifications and strategies.
• Maintain paperwork and procedures for IEP processes.
• Assist in locating service providers for related services.
• Maintain data in LMS and special education software.
