Job summary

Washington Connections Academy is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher to deliver remote instruction to students in Washington. The role involves managing instructional SPED programs, developing and implementing IEPs, and collaborating with families, teachers, and the SPED Director team.

You will schedule IEP meetings, monitor progress, create lesson plans, provide direct services via LiveLessons, and assist with state testing and paperwork in the school’s LMS.

Qualifications

• Must have Washington teacher certification in Special Education.
• Residence in Washington required.
• Ability to travel for key school events (back-to-school trainings, testing, graduations).
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and related educational software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work with diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional SPED programs and caseloads.
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs; coordinate related services.
• Schedule and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and learning coaches to implement modifications and supports.
• Create lesson plans and provide direct services through LiveLessons.
• Assist with state testing and required documentation.
• Maintain data in the LMS and SPED software.
