Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a licensed Remote Special Education Teacher to support students across Maine. This full-time, fully remote role offers virtual instruction, IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and school teams.

Qualified candidates hold an active Maine Special Education Teaching License, with a Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education. Prior school-based experience and comfort with virtual instruction are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Maine Special Education Teaching License is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Prior school-based special education experience preferred.
• Experience with virtual instruction is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual special education instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and related service providers.
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Maintain compliance with state, district, and federal special education regulations.
