Job summary

Orenda Education seeks a Virtual Special Education Teacher to provide services to Open ED students remotely. The role includes ARD paperwork, attending ARD meetings, and fulfilling all duties of the Special Education teacher as prescribed by the ARD committee.

You will collaborate with staff, implement behavioral plans, and ensure services align with IEPs, using technology to enhance learning and communication with families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of teaching special education students and education trends.
• Ability to develop IEPs and collaborate with ARD committees.
• Strong behavior management and data-driven decision making.
• Experience completing ARD paperwork and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement special education supports and curriculum.
• Develop IEPs based on student needs.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs in ARD process.
• Use varied instructional strategies and technology to support learning.
• Maintain student progress reports and communicate with parents.
