Job summary

Orenda Education is seeking a Virtual Special Education Teacher to provide services for Open ED students remotely. The role includes completing ARD paperwork, attending ARD meetings, and fulfilling all duties of a Special Education teacher under the IEP framework.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, Texas SPED EC-12 (ESL) certification, and the ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and service providers. Remote work is offered with exempt status and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

Knowledge of teaching and instructing special education students in the assigned grade/level.
Ability to develop IEPs based on student needs and ARD processes.
Familiarity with ARD committee procedures and collaboration with related service personnel.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and methods per ARD recommendations.
Implement services and modifications for students with disabilities.
Develop and implement behavior interventions per ARD recommendations.
Participate in ARD committee meetings and report student progress.
Use varied instructional strategies and technology to support learning.
Prepare and provide instruction based on IEP requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold safety policies.
Engage in professional development and documentation.
