Job summary

Parallel Learning, Inc. is seeking a Virtual Specialized Education Instructor to support Maine K-12 students with learning differences. You will deliver SDI under IEPs, design data-driven lessons, and collaborate with IEP teams.

Qualified teachers hold an active Special Education license and have experience delivering instruction virtually, with strong communication and organizational skills to manage progress monitoring and services remotely.

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching license/certification.
• School-based experience providing specially designed instruction and working effectively with diverse student populations.
• Exceptional collaborative communication skills for engaging with IEP teams, including teachers, parents, and students.
• Proficiency in conducting virtual services using meeting platforms and a strong command of instructional technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SDI and compensatory education to students with IEPs.
• Develop data-driven, individualized lesson plans to target reading, math, executive functioning, and life skills.
• Own the creation, management, and ongoing progress monitoring of student IEPs.
• Collaborate with IEP team to coordinate service schedules and tailor instructional approaches.
• Administer screenings, progress monitoring, and formal outcomes assessments.
