Job summary

Parallel is hiring for virtual Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in Michigan. You will provide SDI and compensatory services in resource/inclusion or self-contained settings, collaborating with IEP teams and families.

You will design data-driven lessons, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with IEP goals while using virtual platforms and instructional technology to reach diverse learners. This is a remote, 1099-style opportunity with Michigan licensure required.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Special Education teaching license or certification.
• School-based experience providing specially designed instruction.
• Exceptional collaborative communication with IEP teams, parents, students.
• Proficiency in virtual services using meeting platforms and instructional technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legally compliant, specially designed instruction (SDI) and compensatory education services.
• Develop and execute data-driven, individualized lesson plans targeting reading, math, executive functioning, life skills.
• Own creation, management, and progress monitoring of student IEPs.
