Job summary

Parallel Learning seeks experienced Special Education Teachers to provide virtual instruction to K-12 students in Maine. The role supports resource/inclusion and self-contained settings with flexible scheduling and 37.5 hours per week preferred, delivered remotely.

Ideal candidates hold an active SPED license, have strong IEP collaboration skills, and are proficient with virtual platforms and instructional technology to meet diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching license/certification.
• Experience in resource/inclusion settings and self-contained classrooms.
• Excellent collaboration with IEP teams, parents, and students.
• Proficient with virtual service delivery and instructional tech.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legally compliant, specially designed instruction (SDI) and provide compensatory education services as needed.
• Develop and execute data-driven, individualized lesson plans targeting reading, math, executive functioning, and life skills.
• Own creation, management and progress monitoring of student IEPs and case management responsibilities.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to coordinate service schedules and tailor instructional approaches.
