Parallel is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support 5th–8th-grade students with mild to moderate disabilities. You will deliver individualized instruction, manage an IEP caseload, and collaborate with general education teachers to foster a supportive school culture.

This 1099 role emphasizes teamwork, data-driven planning, and remote instructional services during standard school hours, with a commitment of at least 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Licensed Special Education teacher in Colorado
• Experience delivering specially designed instruction (SDI) in schools
• Strong collaboration with IEP teams, parents, and teachers
• Proficient with virtual service delivery using meeting platforms and instructional tech
• Private, dedicated remote workspace with reliable internet and equipment
• Available within traditional school hours (8:00am–4:00pm) Monday–Friday
• Commitment to at least 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction (SDI) and compensatory services as indicated per IEPs.
• Develop data-driven, individualized lesson plans targeting reading, literacy, math, executive function, and life skills.
• Own creation, management, and progress monitoring of student IEPs and caseloads.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to coordinate service schedules and tailor instruction.
• Administer screenings, monitor progress, and conduct formal outcomes assessments to guide decisions.
