Job summary

Parallel is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for 5th through 8th grade to provide legally compliant SDI and carry a caseload of students with mild to moderate disabilities. You will partner with general education teachers and contribute to a strong school culture.

You will deliver data-driven, individualized lessons across reading, math, executive functioning, and life skills, while managing IEPs and coordinating with the IEP team for scheduling and instructional adjustments.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado special education teaching license.
• Experience delivering specially designed instruction and collaborating with diverse student populations.
• Strong communication with IEP teams, parents, and students.
• Proficient in virtual services using meeting platforms and instructional tech.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction (SDI) and compensatory education as indicated for students with IEPs.
• Develop and implement data-driven, individualized lesson plans focusing on reading, math, executive functioning and life skills.
• Own IEP creation, management, and progress monitoring; collaborate with IEP team to tailor instruction.
