Job summary

Parallel is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support 5th–8th grade students in Colorado. The role focuses on legally compliant SDI, IEP management, and data-driven instruction to close gaps in literacy, math, and life skills. You will collaborate with general education staff and family members to build a strong school culture.

The position is full-time with a 37.5 hour/week schedule. Compensation starts at $38/hour on a 1099 basis, with direct and indirect service time accounted

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Special Education license/certification.
• Experience providing specially designed instruction and working with diverse student populations.
• Strong collaboration with IEP teams, parents, and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legally compliant SDI and compensatory education per IEPs.
• Develop and implement data-driven, individualized lesson plans.
• Support reading, math, executive functioning, and life skills.
• Manage IEPs, case load, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with IEP team to coordinate service delivery.
• Administer screenings and progress assessments.
