Job summary

Propio Language Services, Inc. is seeking Remote Spanish Contract Interpreters for its OnDemand PropioONE service. You will provide consecutive interpretation remotely for a variety of clients, including medical, legal, and social services, while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA standards.

Applicants must submit an English resume, demonstrate English proficiency ILR 3+ and pass a mock oral interpretation session plus Propio's medical terminology assessment. Background check is required.

Qualifications

• Resume in English at time of application.
• English proficiency ILR level 3+ (technical proficiency).
• Passing score on a mock oral interpretation session.
• Completion of Propio's Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment.
• Background check and security screening.
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Preferred: 1+ years interpreting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive, first-person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Follows all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients, such as medical, legal, social services, etc.
