Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Spacecraft Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) engineer to design and implement GNC architectures in an embedded C++ environment. The role emphasizes a systems mindset and collaboration across disciplines to achieve elegant spacecraft designs.

The position supports remote work from an approved location, with responsibilities spanning algorithm design, requirements definition, simulation, and ground- and flight-test planning.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent with 2–3 years of professional GNC experience
• Software skills in C++, Python, MATLAB and numerical programming environments

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in embedded C++
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for current missions and roadmaps
• Analyze and simulate mission-specific GNC performance
• Develop ground-processing algorithms for sensor calibration
• Develop an offline geolocation processing pipeline
• Support anomaly resolution of on-orbit systems and on-call duties
• Assist in software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning and validation
