Velera is seeking a Solutions Architect for a remote USA role to define scalable, secure architectures and guide Agile teams. You will select technologies, enforce standards, and optimize cost and performance across cloud and on‑premises components.

The role requires 8–10 years of architecting experience, strong API and cloud skills (Azure), and a passion for innovative financial technology solutions. Remote, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and work experience.
• 8–10 years of professional/technical architecture experience across IT, business operations and project estimation.
• Advanced experience with programming/scripting languages and API technologies.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum framework.
• 2+ years with cloud/hybrid-cloud solutions, 1 year with PaaS, 6 months with Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for a solution.
• Design detailed solution architectures covering software, hardware, data and security.
• Guide Agile teams while ensuring enterprise standards are followed.
• Select technologies, assess platforms, and drive innovation with cost/scalability in mind.
• Define standards/patterns and create diagrams/artifacts for designs.
• Ensure security, compliance, and integration with existing systems.
• Analyze constraints, mitigate risks, and optimize performance and cost.
• Evaluate third‑party solutions and vendors for architecture fit.
• Provide data-driven insights to Product stakeholders.
