Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to own the technical strategy for customers, driving platform adoption and architecting scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.

You will collaborate with customer architects and engineering leads, lead architecture discussions, and contribute to a specialized technical domain within the team. Remote role with state restrictions in the US.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building skills.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms.
• Proficient with the company Platform and developing a technical specialization in one area.
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders — whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analysis.
• Experience with production deployments on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts.
• Excellent communication skills — translate complex architectures into business value for technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery through deployment and growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
• Drive technical wins by demonstrating differentiation through custom-built solutions.
• Develop an emerging technical specialization for the team.
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex customer needs.
• Influence product direction by providing feedback on customer requirements and competitive gaps.
