Job summary

Verra Mobility seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to drive cloud deployments and on‑premise to hybrid solutions. The role collaborates with Architecture and Engineering and aligns with IT Operations to implement scalable, secure infrastructure across Azure and on‑prem environments.

The ideal candidate brings strong Windows Server, Linux, and VMware experience, plus automation and scripting to streamline operations and DR/HA readiness. Occasional after-hours support is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in on-premise datacenter environments, private/public cloud, SAN, and networking.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux in data center environments.
• Experience implementing automation and scripting for systems management.
• Experience in multi-site, multi-tenant environments with SOX/SOC2/ISO/PCI awareness.

Responsibilities

• Implement on-premise technologies, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid solutions primarily in Azure.
• Manage and support hyperconverged platforms such as Cisco UCS, VxRail and VMware.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts or frameworks.
• Lead incident management and provide high-quality support to stakeholders.
• Design and deliver secure cloud solutions on Azure or AWS.
• Provide work breakdown and estimates for complex tasks.
