Job summary

Interstate Gas Supply is seeking a Solar Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair solar power systems. You will work with clients to ensure optimal operation, diagnose issues, and document performance. This role requires a solid electrical background, safety awareness, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in installation, maintenance or repair of solar power systems.
• Certifications: Enphase certifications (Installer, Technician, IQ8, CTS), NABCEP PV; SE certs; additional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections for optimal performance.
• Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues including electrical faults and panel malfunctions.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service, address questions, explain system operations.
• Documentation: Maintain records of service visits and reports on repairs and performance.
• Compliance: Follow safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Training: Stay current with solar tech and best practices through ongoing training.
• Communication: Coordinate with Construction Manager and Ops teams to meet deadlines.
• Autonomy & Accountability: Operate independently at field sites with minimal supervision.
