Exact Solar is seeking a Residential Solar Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential solar and battery systems. The role primarily focuses on service and warranty work rather than new installations, with travel across Pennsylvania and New Jersey to inspect and service existing systems.

The ideal candidate will combine strong electrical troubleshooting with customer-facing communication, safety, and a professional demeanor in customers' homes.

Qualifications

• Experience with residential solar service and maintenance.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with residential electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience with Enphase or SolarEdge platforms is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Perform residential solar service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Diagnose solar production and system performance issues.
• Troubleshoot electrical, monitoring, inverter, and related equipment problems.
• Identify failed components and determine corrective actions.
• Replace or repair solar equipment including inverters and wiring.
• Support warranty claims and equipment replacement processes.
• Troubleshoot battery and energy-storage systems where applicable.
• Communicate with customers about issues and repairs.
• Document service visits with diagnostics and repairs.
• Coordinate with office and technical teams for follow-up work.
• Review system portals remotely and onsite during diagnostics.
• Safely access roofs and perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Correct workmanship or installation issues when identified.
• Maintain organized service vehicle and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and electrical requirements.
• Represent Exact Solar professionally in homes and the community.
