Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to plan, execute, and manage the commissioning of utility-scale solar, BESS, SCADA, and substation projects nationwide. The role travels regionally within the Midwest and collaborates with project teams, Owner reps, and external testers to ensure all systems meet contract requirements and transition smoothly to operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading complex project commissioning activities.
• Experience with commissioning of utility scale solar/BESS/SCADA/HV systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and communication system testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and develop project commissioning plans and procedures.
• Establish and execute commissioning plans and integrated schedules.
• Lead commissioning coordination meetings and daily planning sessions.
• Develop and maintain the commissioning resource plan for the project.
• Coordinate commissioning with Owner reps, OEMs, testers, and internal teams.
• Lead the site commissioning team and provide training and support.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for solar, BESS, and HV systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
• Document test results, issues, and corrective actions.
• Monitor timelines, budgets, and resources; support hand-off to Operations.
