Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning phase for utility-scale solar, battery storage, SCADA, and HV substations nationwide. This remote role requires travel across the Midwest region, coordinating with Owner representatives, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure tests and documentation meet contractual requirements.

You will develop commissioning plans, manage schedules and resources, and guide the site team through pre-commissioning, testing, and hand-off

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leading complex project commissioning activities.
• Experience with technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements of utility scale solar/BESS/SCADA/HV commissioning.
• 3+ years of experience in a direct management role.
• PMP certification (preferred).
• Understanding of electrical and communication system testing procedures.
• Knowledge of project management principles including safety leadership, schedule logic and implementation, procurement, and construction means and methods.
• Ability to manage project teams and coordinate with affected parties.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and develop project-specific commissioning plans and procedures.
• Establish and execute commissioning plans and integrated schedules.
• Host commissioning coordination meetings and daily plan-of-day sessions.
• Coordinate with Owner representatives, OEM field advisors, testing providers, and internal teams.
• Lead site commissioning team with training and guidance.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for solar, BESS, and HV substations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports and track progress.
