Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning phase of utility-scale solar, battery storage, SCADA, and HV substation projects across the Midwest region. The role is remote with regional travel and requires coordinating with Owners, engineers, and contractors to ensure testing and commissioning meet contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading complex project commissioning activities.
• Experience with technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements of utility scale solar/BESS/SCADA/HV commissioning.
• 3+ years in a direct management role.
• Understanding of electrical and communication system testing procedures.
• Knowledge in project management principles including safety leadership, schedule logic and implementation, procurement, and construction means and methods.

Responsibilities

• Review technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning and lead project-specific commissioning plans.
• Establish and execute commissioning plans and integrated schedules.
• Host commissioning coordination meetings and daily plan-of-day meetings.
• Develop and maintain the commissioning resource plan for the project.
• Coordinate and oversee all project commissioning activities with Owner reps, OEM advisors, testing providers, and internal/external teams.
