Job summary

Cognitive Medical Systems is seeking a versatile Software Development Test Engineer to support testing of web and mobile applications across the full development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual and automated testing, including accessibility (508) compliance, functional validation, API testing, and security‑focused quality assurance.

This is a remote position; however, Cognitive hires only in designated US states: VA, DC, MD, TN, FL, AZ, CO, OR, and TX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software QA, including manual and automated testing.
• Proficient in Groovy and Java automation scripts.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain MBI.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated test suites for CI/CD.
• Perform manual and automated testing of REST APIs and UI.
• Develop test frameworks in Katalon and related tools.
• Use AI Copilot to enhance automation testing.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for web/mobile apps.
• Conduct end-to-end testing including accessibility (508).
• Document defects and support Agile ceremonies.
