Job summary

Cognitive Medical Systems Inc. is seeking a Software Development Test Engineer to support testing of web and mobile applications across the full development lifecycle.

The role combines manual and automated testing, including accessibility (508) compliance and API validation, within Agile teams. The position is remote in the United States, with state restrictions (VA, DC, MD, TN, FL, AZ, CO, OR, and TX) based on contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of software QA experience, including manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in Groovy and Java automation scripting.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with REST API testing and tools like Postman.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated test suites and test cases to support CI/CD.
• Conduct manual and automated testing of REST APIs and user interfaces.
• Develop and enhance test-automation frameworks in Groovy and Java.
• Use AI Copilot to assist in automation test creation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for web and mobile apps.
• Perform end-to-end testing including accessibility (508).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria.
• Track defects using Jira and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure testing aligns with security protocols and standards.
