Job summary

Horizon Industries is seeking an experienced Software Systems Engineer to support the DAAS API GW platform in a fully remote setting. The role focuses on analyzing and supporting complex systems software, driving integration, and enabling low-code development across DoD environments.

The position requires strong BPMN expertise, API familiarity, and a security clearance. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan, develop, and optimize software and systems for enterprise-scale

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of related experience.
Experience with APIs to support low‑code/no‑code platform models.
Experience with BPMN tools.
Experience developing automation software using BPMN models (Appian/Salesforce/Nintex) with SQL Server and .NET.
Experience in agile and hybrid low‑code development.

Responsibilities

Perform in‑depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, and user support.
Assist in planning and conversion of new hardware/software products and maintain currency, debug, and configure related software products.
Provide OS planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades.
Develop or modify OS applications from specifications.
Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, debugging, and documentation of programs.
Interface with system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve OS efficiency.
Prepare product documentation and gather information on system requirements or problems from customers.
