Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems seeks a Software Support Engineer to provide software support for customers using in-house and third-party software on conveyor and robotics systems. The role is part of the Customer Service team, performing root-cause analysis, and developing resolution plans while building lasting relationships.

The candidate will remotely diagnose issues, review server status, logs, and network symptoms, and coordinate with QA and Implementation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
• 2+ years of related experience, preferably with WMS/WCS/WES.
• Familiarity with warehouse distribution and fulfillment centers.
• Strong troubleshooting and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on WMS/WES/WCS and remote into customers' automation systems as part of the Service Desk.
• Evaluate downtime by reviewing Windows servers, services, logs, and symptoms with users.
• Troubleshoot Linux environments, including command-line work and config files.
• Apply knowledge of software architecture, databases, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with QA and Implementation teams to level up SME knowledge.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP networking within application issues.
• Document troubleshooting steps for failure mode analysis and updates.
• Act as primary contact for select customer sites post-implementation; may visit sites.
