Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team of engineers building tech-enabled solutions for children with special health care needs. You will mentor engineers, drive career growth, and collaborate with Product and Data teams to shape architecture and data models.

You will steer the technical roadmap, deliver iterative product improvements, and translate business goals into scalable, maintainable systems while ensuring alignment with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineers.
• Experience navigating change and evolving priorities.
• Experience with cloud-based stacks (AWS preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work asynchronously and remotely.
• Passion for developing engineers across professional skills.
• Ability to balance speed to proof-of-concept with robust systems.
• Experience driving organization-wide engineering initiatives.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Own the career growth of your engineers, from feedback to growth planning and promotion advocacy
• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to shape data models, system boundaries, and integration decisions
• Facilitate the execution of the technical roadmap with data-driven decisions and iterative development
• Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture
