Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a tech-enabled pediatric group, seeks a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a growing team building data-driven platforms for care coordination and remote services.

You will mentor engineers, shape career growth, and partner with Product, Data Engineering, and Analytics to design scalable systems, implement roadmaps, and deliver value to children with special health care needs.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience; 3+ years of experience managing engineers as a primary function.
• Experience navigating change and evolving priorities; skilled at driving progress amid ambiguity.
• Experience leading teams across a cloud-based tech stack (AWS preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work asynchronously and remotely.
• Ability to clear paths for teams and collaborate across disciplines to achieve goals.
• Healthcare experience or experience at an early-stage/scale-up company is a plus.

• Build, develop, and mentor a team of software engineers and foster a culture of innovation.
• Own the career growth of engineers through feedback, growth planning, and promotions.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Foundations to shape data models and integration decisions.
• Drive the technical roadmap with a focus on data-driven decisions and value delivery.
• Translate business goals into technical architecture and timelines for delivery.
• Collaborate on scalable, stable, efficient, maintainable, and extensible solutions.
• Provide structure to unblock the team when requirements or boundaries are unclear.
