Job summary

Natus Medical in Middleton, WI (100% remote, USA) seeks a Software Engineering Lead to mentor a team and drive the technical design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications.

You will shape architecture, establish coding standards, collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and QA, and own features from concept to production. This role requires 10–12 years of experience with strong leadership and modern web tech expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in technical leadership.
• Proven expertise with: Front-end React.js; Back-end Java, C#.NET, Python.
• Cloud platforms: Azure / AWS / GCP; platform services.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers to design and build modern web applications.
• Define, document, and enforce coding standards, development processes, and engineering best practices.
• Drive solution architecture and participate in high-level design discussions.
• Own features from concept through delivery, translating clinical requirements into software.
• Hands-on coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and QA to deliver on time.
• Mentor team members and support professional growth.
• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
• Leverage Microsoft Azure for hosting, storage, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.
• Champion DevOps practices and automated testing.
