Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Splunk Platform Authorization team. You will build backend services in Go to power secure, scalable access across enterprise environments and contribute to service-to-service communications within the platform.

The role emphasizes ownership of engineering work, debugging production issues, and improving performance while expanding expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native technologies.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional software development experience building and maintaining backend services using Go.
• Experience developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining backend applications or services in complex production environments.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain backend services using Go, supporting scalable authorization and service-to-service communication across Splunk's platform.
• Translate technical designs into high-quality, maintainable code, independently driving implementation while collaborating through design discussions and code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, improve system performance and reliability, and address technical debt within complex backend systems.
• Contribute to the modernization of established C++ services and the evolution of distributed infrastructure, including Kubernetes-based environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, share technical knowledge, and participate in operational support and on-call rotations following onboarding.
