Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Go backend engineer to develop and maintain scalable services for authorization and inter-service communication across Splunk’s platform.

You will resolve production issues, improve performance and reliability, modernize existing C++ services, and collaborate with multiple engineering teams, including on-call support and operational rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD; Go backend experience required.
• U.S. persons with TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph required.
• Experience with production backend systems and independent implementation and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Go backend services enabling scalable authorization and service-to-service communication across Splunk’s platform.
• Resolve production issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Modernize established C++ services and distributed infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams including during operational support and on-call rotations.
