Lyric is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join during a major technology modernization of its healthcare decision platform. Over 12 weeks you will contribute to full‑stack development, APIs, cloud deployments, and AI‑assisted coding tools alongside senior engineers.

This internship is designed for students who have completed their third year in CS or a related field and want real production software challenges.

Formación

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Expected to have completed the third year of undergraduate study prior to the start of the internship.
• Foundational coursework in programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, or related CS disciplines.
• Foundational programming experience via coursework, projects, or hackathons.
• Familiarity with at least one modern language (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++).
• Basic understanding of OOP, data structures, and software development principles.
• Basic SQL and relational databases knowledge; familiar with Git/GitHub.
• No prior professional software engineering experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Build software that contributes to Lyric's healthcare technology products and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and test RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable architecture.
• Contribute to front-end development using Angular or React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Gain experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and data modeling.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, and testing.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and CI/CD workflows.
• Learn how to evaluate AI-generated code with human judgment before integration.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests and write technical documentation.
• Present work and learnings to Engineering leadership at internship end.
