Job summary

Visa is seeking a software engineer on a fully remote basis, with a requirement to be based in Brazil and English proficiency of at least B1. The role covers building and maintaining scalable systems across front-end, back-end, and data layers, with a strong emphasis on automation, security, and observability.

You will contribute to API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and robust testing while using modern tooling such as Terraform, Argo, Jenkins, and Codefresh in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Based in Brazil with English proficiency at least B1 (Intermediate).
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or 3+ years of work experience; Java and/or Golang experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, and review code across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Integrate systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with automation.
• Maintain CI pipelines and automate tests on code commits.
• Debug and perform root cause analysis using AI-enabled tools and enforce code reviews.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy containers across environments.
• Monitor production apps with observability tools, investigate incidents, and fix issues.
• Optimize code for performance, cost efficiency, and security; enforce secure coding and proper secrets handling.
• Comply with regulatory standards and maintain audit documentation.
