Visa is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to join its Pismo team. In this remote role, you will design and build software that influences payment technologies used globally. Your efforts will contribute to the development of scalable and secure systems.

A Bachelor's or advanced degree is required, along with experience in Java, AWS, and distributed systems. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $110,700 to $171,800 along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree.
• 3+ years of experience with Java / Groovy.
• Experience with AWS services: SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience in high-scale and high-availability environments.

Responsibilities

• Design code and systems that influence Visa's internal standards.
• Collaborate to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions.
• Contribute to product quality improvements and new business flows.
• Develop robust and scalable products for end-user merchants and B2B solutions.
