Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Software Engineer to join a team building scalable, cloud-native health services platforms. You’ll work with Core Java, Python, ReactJS, GraphQL on GCP/Azure, orchestrated with Docker and Kubernetes, delivering AI-powered solutions.

3+ years in software engineering across the SDLC, plus 3+ years in ReactJS and 2+ years in microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. Remote work from anywhere in the U.S. is supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering across the full SDLC.
• 3+ years with front-end technologies, specifically ReactJS.
• 2+ years microservices development using Java 1.8+ and Python.
• 2+ years containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 2+ years working with GCP/Azure and CI/CD tools.
• Ability to work independently to drive tasks.
• Analytical mind with strong problem-solving aptitude.
• BE in Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years with Kafka, GraphQL, and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Interest in AI/ML and experience with AI models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and execute tasks across the full software development life cycle.
• Design, develop, and deploy microservices and tools using Java, Python, and ReactJS.
• Automate deployment and engineering tasks with scripting and IaC/CI-CD.
• Review, debug, and optimize code for performance and reliability.
• Document development phases and monitor production environments for high availability.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions responsibly.
• Utilize enterprise AI tools to streamline workflows and drive improvements.
• Evaluate emerging engineering and AI trends to inform design.
