Job summary

Droisys is seeking a Software Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. This fully remote US-based role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software powering critical applications and customer products.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software, while embracing innovation and continuous improvement in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 3+ years in professional software development.
• Experience with web apps, APIs, or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and production incidents.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements when appropriate.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
