Pomelo AI seeks an experienced Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable software applications for real-world products. This hands-on role spans the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment, with opportunities to shape technical direction.

The ideal candidate has strong fundamentals, delivers high‑quality production code, and collaborates across product, design, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or C#.
• Experience building web applications, backend services, or distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Build and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance and reliability.
