Job summary

CentralSquare Technologies Career Center is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Enterprise development team. You will design and develop complex, scalable Public Safety software solutions, managing all aspects of new applications from specs to databases.

You will coordinate with other developers, provide technical guidance, and ensure high-quality code and documentation, while contributing to architecture decisions and compliance. Remote-friendly with office presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing complex, scalable public safety software applications.
• Strong collaboration and communication with engineering and product partners.
• Proven ability to drive architecture decisions and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for, present, and oversee formal design and code reviews
• Provide technical guidance to the team and ensure production of quality code
• Develop and review advanced software documentation
• Assist with architecture designs and decisions
• Interact and communicate on a technical level with external entities to ensure requirements and accreditation
• Communicate with and demonstrate software to internal and external customers
• Suggest improvements to foundation classes and objects and develop new objects
• Identify refactoring opportunities and technical debt to discuss with the Product Owner
• Develop test scripts, test plans, and QA documentation
• Design systems with unit and automation testing to ensure software quality
• Collaborate with Support to diagnose field escalation issues and resolutions
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on multiple technical topics
• Performs all other duties as assigned
