Job summary

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and support custom software solutions in a mission-driven environment. Responsibilities include building integrations with NetSuite and other systems, using AI-assisted development tools, and delivering real-time user solutions.

You will collaborate with staff and management, ensure system security, and document processes and reports to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• Credentials and certifications on programming, operating systems, and other additional technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document and support software solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between custom applications and third-party systems (e.g. NetSuite, payment processors, marketing platforms).
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively and responsibly, including reviewing, testing, and correcting AI-generated code, and contributing to the team's shared AI context and conventions documentation.
• Provide real time solutions for user problems.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of problems and issues until they are resolved.
• Work closely with staff and management to provide effective organization-wide solutions.
• Work with IT staff and/or vendor support services to resolve application or system issues.
• Document organizational processes as they relate to software solutions.
• Work with IT staff to define and maintain application lifecycle and security.
• Create custom reports based on customer requirements.
