Job summary

GetixHealth is seeking an experienced Manager of Software Development to lead a Scrum-based software development team while strengthening our software delivery practices, planning processes, and overall development capabilities. This role requires a strong software engineering foundation in a Microsoft/.NET environment and the ability to drive proactive, measurable delivery, not merely people management.

Remote position with travel up to 10% as needed; offering a competitive salary and full IT

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in software development, software engineering, or application delivery.
• Leading software developers or multidisciplinary technology teams.
• Experience managing or leading a Scrum-based software development team.
• Demonstrated experience improving Agile/Scrum practices in evolving organizations.
• Experience establishing KPIs, delivery metrics, and performance measures.
• Deep understanding of the SDLC, release management, quality practices, and production support.
• Experience improving planning, prioritization, workflow management, and delivery predictability.
• Able to balance immediate production needs with longer-term strategic development.
• Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• A flexible leadership style adaptable to new organizational cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a Scrum-based software development team.
• Establish clear priorities, expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
• Partner closely with the Lead Developer and other technical contributors.
• Identify staffing, technical skill, and resource needs.
• Coach team members toward greater ownership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
• Strengthen Agile/Scrum practices and facilitate ceremonies.
• Develop KPIs and monitor sprint predictability, cycle time, throughput, and backlog health.
• Deliver realistic plans based on priorities and capacity, communicating risks to stakeholders.
