Job summary

Advocate Health in the United States seeks a Social Impact & Community Relations Intern to support community outreach, partnerships, and reporting. The internship runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri during business hours.

This is a remote, work-from-home position available for residents in AZ and several states. Candidates are undergraduates in PR, Communications, Social Work, or nonprofit management with a 2.5+ GPA.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a junior or senior undergraduate in PR, Communications, Social Work, Nonprofit Management or related field.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to complete tasks successfully.
• Team player with effective multitasking and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs and volunteer events.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Help track and report on social impact metrics and outcomes.
• Contribute to internal and external communications for select initiatives.
• Conduct research on social issues and community needs.
• Assist with grant applications, sponsorship requests, and donations tracking.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
• Develop skills in event planning, stakeholder communication, and impact reporting.
